Communication Tools for Divided Times

How do we navigate disagreements in a healthy way?  How do we engage in respectful conversations with an honest and compassionate voice? Maggie Jezreel, teacher of compassionate communication, will share her own journey of talking with family members with opposing religious and political views.  Maggie will provide practices and techniques to address challenges in communication that arise during this political season.

Maggie Jezreel is a longtime student of nonviolence and its practical application in everyday life.  Her approach to compassionate communication has been informed by Thom Bond’s Nonviolent Communication Course, JustFaith’s Cultivating Nonviolence: Harvesting Peace, and the New York Center for Nonviolent Communication.  Since 2019 she has been teaching related classes at a Tibetan Buddhist Center in Louisville. She is motivated by the impact of nonviolent communication and is excited to share this language of love and compassion with others.
