His books The Climate Resistance Handbook and Building a Movement to End the New Jim Crow have accompanied hundreds of JustFaith participants in creating lasting change while remaining grounded in a deep spirituality of nonviolence.
Daniel brings global experience to the question of a Trump presidency. He has led trainings for ethnic minorities in Burma, pastors in Sierra Leone, and independence activists in Northeast India. He has worked with communities worldwide to tackle environmental, racial, and economic injustices, empowering people to take action and build resilience. For many across the nation, Daniel has been a guiding light in these trying times. His viral article, “10 Ways to Be Prepared and Grounded now that Trump has Won” (disponible en español) was shared rapidly and broadly across the national activist scene on the evening of the election, helping people navigate the challenges of movement-building under an incoming Trump administration. Most recently, Daniel published a choose-your-own-adventure book called What if Trump Wins?
