Understanding Gun Violence and Solutions in America

How and why did gun violence grow into the public health crisis it is today?   “Understanding Gun Violence and Solutions in America,” was a conversation with Robert Schentrup about how gun violence impacts Americans, common misconceptions about the scope and drivers of gun violence, and the disproportionate impact on historically marginalized communities.

Robert shares multiple solutions backed by evidence and actionable steps that you can take to keep your loved ones safe and build safety in your community. This presentation will offer a glimpse of the newest JustFaith program, Preventing Gun Violence: From Rhetoric to Real Solutions, launching this month.

Robert Schentrup is the brother to Carmen Schentrup, one of the 17 victims of the Parkland School Shooting.  He has since been working tirelessly on the issue of gun violence prevention with a myriad of organizations across the gun violence prevention space, focusing on youth organizing and policy.  He worked with Brady United in founding their youth program Team ENOUGH and now serves as the Organizing Manager for the Team ENOUGH program.
