History: The Missing Ingredient in Challenging Conversations
Blatant ignorance and/or denial of U. S. history has affected so much of the deep divides we are experiencing in politics and society today. DEI and immigration programs make no sense without an understanding of the terrible racial, immigrant and gender history in the United States. So how do we help those we seek to influence in this journey to stay off the onslaught of hate and bring healing elements into difficult relationships and conversations? We will take a brief look at the history of Civil Rights and immigration and how we might help others come to some understanding of the importance of this history.
