The Just Action program is a vital resource for any group feeling called to justice ministry. I especially appreciated the time allotted to applying the conversations to local problems, as well as the step-by-step guided process for how to begin advocating for those in the community who are being affected by the issues we identified. This course has put race out in front of my awareness. I now see it everywhere, hidden in movies, newspaper articles, conversations. Somehow in the past, I didn't always notice, or was concerned about it, compared to how I am now. Reading books about race from the perspective of black authors has been especially meaningful.

We have really different ideas about a lot of things, but I think the main thing that we agree on is that we believe in justice. We believe that as people of faith, we need to be active in our community to make sure that all people have a sense of hope and that all people have equal access and opportunities to a quality of life.
