You are invited to join JustFaith Ministries graduates, friends, and supporters for our 5th Annual Impact Celebration on Thursday, October 23, at 7:00 pm ET/4:00pm PT, on Zoom.

This year’s virtual celebration will include a discussion with three luminaries on the intersection of faith and justice about being people of faithful impact in the current political moment. We look forward to an insightful discussion with our esteemed panel of speakers (read their full bios below the registration form).

The Impact Celebration will also feature celebrations of graduate impact from JustFaith communities across the country. We look forward to sharing this special event with you and marking JustFaith Ministries’ 24th year building more just, peaceful, and sustainable communities.

Learn more about the 2025 Impact Celebration Speakers

Sister Simone Campbell is a religious sister, lawyer, and a prophetic voice on issues of social justice. As former Executive Director of NETWORK, a Catholic social justice lobby, she became widely known for leading “Nuns on the Bus” tours, which promoted healthcare reform, economic justice, and immigration rights. Sister Simone’s ministry combines legal expertise with spiritual conviction. She was a key figure in advocating for the Affordable Care Act and continues to champion a just tax system and living wages. Her work has been honored with numerous accolades including the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Her work inspires people of all faiths to engage in courageous advocacy and to live out the Gospel call to serve the poor and vulnerable.

Rev. Dr. Lewis Brogdon is a religious scholar, public intellectual, author, and prophetic voice on the topics of Martin Luther King, Jr., the debate about reparations for African Americans, nihilism in Black America, slavery in the Bible, Black religion, and the complex legacy of racism in America. He has accepted invitations to an advisory body to the United Nations Human Rights Council and the White House, as well as media outlets, churches, colleges, and community organizations nationwide. Dr. Brogdon is currently an Associate Professor of Black Church Studies and Executive Director of the Institute for Black Church Studies at BSK Theological Seminary in Louisville and the author of many books such as Hope on the Brink, and most recently The Bible in the Ashes of Social Chaos: An Introduction to Problematic Texts.

Dr. Cecilia González-Andrieu is a leading scholar of theological aesthetics, which she proposes as a way to bring communities together, respect and celebrate otherness, and lift the theological insights of those who know and express themselves from the peripheries. She is one of the contributing writers for America magazine, penning a number of significant essays on political theology, Latinx theologies, and women’s issues. Dr. González -Andrieu teaches in Loyola Marymount University’s Department of Theological Studies, co-chairs the LMU Latino Theology and Ministry Initiative, is an active supporter of the Ignatian Solidarity Network, an advisor for the Discerning Deacons Project. Cecilia was also recently inaugurated as President of the Academy of Catholic Hispanic Theologians of the United States.
