God in the Margins; the JustFaith Scripture Study – Join us for a monthly Zoom Bible study as scripture scholar Tricia Hoyt hosts a conversation about critical texts related to the work of justice and mercy. Strong emphasis will be given to dialog and conversation.
The monthly gathering will meet on third Tuesdays until December 2022, 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. Eastern Time.
Tricia Hoyt is a biblical scholar, retreat director, leadership trainer, educator, and writer. Originally from Ireland, she resided in France and Peru before moving to the U.S. in 1981. She worked for 30 years as an educator and leadership trainer in Arizona, and served as director of the Office of Peace and Justice and director of the School of Biblical Studies at Kino Institute. She is an original co-author of the spirituality program now known as Grace Within, and was one of the architects of a JustFaith Ministries program, Hunger for Change. She served on the JustFaith Ministries Board for eight years and currently serves on the editorial board for the journal “AMOS: A Matter of Justice” and as a consultant for Northwest Michigan Supportive Housing. She travels frequently to offer workshops on biblical storytelling and a spirituality for justice. Tricia holds a MA in Adult Christian Community Development from Regis University in Denver, and has completed ten years of doctoral work in Biblical Interpretation at Brite Divinity School (TCU), Fort Worth.
The registration fee for the ten sessions is $25 for JustFaith Network members and $50 for non-members.
