Thursday, July 15 – Join us at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, to hear from a familiar voice: Dr. Lewis Brogdon who has been featured twice before on “Acting for Justice” and led a series on the Martin Luther King, Jr. will give a presentation entitled, “The Fight for the Soul of America.”
Description: During his presidential campaign, Joseph Biden often spoke of the election in terms of a fight for the soul of America. During the Democratic National Convention, Biden said “This campaign isn’t just about winning votes. It’s about winning the heart and, yes, the soul of America.” However, the fight for the soul of America is far from over as evident from the events of January 6, 2021. This month’s Acting for Justice event will explore why the President and many others believe America is losing its soul. Dr. Brogdon recently wrote an op ed in the Louisville Courier-Journal that is gaining national attention. He will discuss his op ed, the call he issued to every American, and the role you have to play in the fight for the soul of America.
