JustFaith (Ecumenical) is a thirty-week justice education/formation process with a focus on the intersection of faith, spirituality and social responsibility in a world wounded by poverty. Meeting weekly, the process employs books, videos, lecture, discussion, prayer, retreats and hands-on experiences all set in the context of a small faith community. The intent is to provide a tapestry of learning opportunities that emphasize and enliven the remarkable justice tradition of our faith.
Participants are exposed to not only a substantive and demanding course of study but are also afforded the privilege of becoming community with other participants and sharing a journey of faith and compassion that is both life-giving and challenging. The program typically begins in the fall and runs through to spring.
JustFaith can be, and typically is, facilitated by church members, meaning it does not create added responsibilities for church staff.
JustFaith (Ecumenical) is offered in partnership with Bread for the World, the largest Christian anti-hunger advocacy organization in the United States (see www.bread.org)
